This program is intended to provide the highest quality experience for basic medical science students pursuing interests in clinical research. Students actively participate in clinical or laboratory research studies during their fellowship, and some have authored or co-authored peer reviewed publications as well as presented their work at major national and international scientific meetings. Many have gone on to academic medical careers.

Department of medical microbiology-faculty of basic medical sciences announced an undergraduate research opportunity on the field of medical virology entitled (Sero-prevalence and Risk Factors of Cytomegalovirus among Pregnant Women in Benghazi)
Students from the faculty of basic medical science will be accepted
Mission and responsibilities
1. History taken, data and samples collection from hospitals and healthcare centers
2. Analyzing the samples and results interpretation
3. Attending progressing meeting with minimum 4 hours per week

3. A certificate of research experience will be granted from LIMU
4. A letter of recommendation regarding the participation in the department
5. Any fund or budget will be prepaid
6. For basic medical science the report activity grades will be granted
