Principles and concepts of process and resource management; Memory and process management; I/O systems; Storage; Protection; Multi-processing; Threads; Networking; System commands. Concepts are illustrated in the context of well-known operating systems. Laboratory sessions include hands-on projects in system administration tasks such as managing file systems, creating and configuring user accounts and groups, managing file/directory permissions, creating shell scripts, and setting up services.
